Designing a Logo

by Aaron Hagenbuch|Published 03.31.2017

Blog identity is important. In the interest of time and in order to fit in with the minimalist design of the Fashion Style theme, I decided to go with a text-based logo that matches the title fonts on post titles. Personally, I prefer to tap into free online tools for a number of reasons. Aside from cost savings, they also don’t bog down your system with software installations that run processes in the background. There is no need to update an online tool, and accessing tools via a web browser allows for immediate up-to-date access to help forums.

In the case of logo design, I have grown to love Gravit.io. Similar to Adobe Illustrator, this site allows you to create and export graphics in a number of formats. This is especially helpful in creating vector files, which are able to scale to any size imaginable

without image distortion. Signing up for a username allows you to save files and work on them at a later date, which can be very helpful in freeing up space on a physical hard drive, and accessing your work right from the cloud.
